STUDIO
Managing the Orlando Sentinel's virtual studio was never dull. I produced a live webcast every weekday that could be seen on The Orlando Sentinel Facebook page and OrlandoSentinel.com. When I wasn't busy with 'Orlando Sentinel Now,' I recorded and edited breaking news video briefs.
As the producer of 'Orlando Sentinel Now,' I selected the topics, worked across departments with reporters, locked in talking points with hosts and hunted down visuals. I then ran the four-camera virtual set.
After the live 'Orlando Sentinel Now' broadcast, I posted the audio as a podcast and edited the show into short videos to pair with individual stories on OrlandoSentinel.com.
GUEST SEGMENTS
When we first launched the live webcast 'Orlando News Now' we partnered with FOX35. Each show consisted of three segments in the Orlando Sentinel studio and three in the FOX studio. I brought in outside guests to talk about upcoming events. I did pre-interviews and went over setups with my team to ensure we transitioned to the guest segment in the 90-second window we had while FOX was live.
I've produced around-the-clock storm coverage, broadcasts from football tailgates and hourly election night updates.
